Hexa-C Missing Link in Precise Bending

The press force acts upon the machine bed during the bending process (action).

This leads to a counter-force arising in the C-frame of the side housings (reaction).

Deflection occurs, despite the robust construction of the side housings. This is the reason why the upper tool penetrates less deeply into the lower tool than the hydraulic cylinders travel on the stroke

by changing the material analysis, material hardness from one side to other side, changing the lengths and having holes in part of bend, while no holes on the other side, it leads to different deflection from one side to the other side of the body.

In order to have a precise bending and accuracy, we should compensate and control this deflection.

Some expensive devises can do it by using sensor, encoders and… and applying the deflection compensation on controller, but it is too expensive.

The advantages of Hexa-C

  • Improved bending accuracy because movable beam remains perfectly aligned with fixed beam.
  • Largest immunity to structure torsion effects in case of off-centre bending.
  • Combine traditional function of strengthening the structure of "falseC" with the function guiding support.
  • The Hexa-C®philosophy present advantages in terms of sturdiness resulting therefore on a lighter frame and, consequently, lower environmental impact.
